Lesson 05B; Q&A #5 - #10)

Berean Classroom Q&A (Audio)

  1. Why was God displeased when Noah's family said, "Let us build for ourselves a city and a tower" (Genesis 11:4)?
    • Because "now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do" (Genesis 11:6).
  2. They also said, "Let us make for ourselves a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth" (Genesis 11:4).
  3. The name of the city Noah's people stopped building is called Babel. This name is attributed to the verb balal, which means to confuse or to confound in Hebrew (Genesis 11:9).
  4. Noah's family was not walking in God's light and therefore could not have fellowship with God or one another (I John 1:7).
  5. Read Romans 1:24 and write down what God did to the Gentiles (non-Jews) after this great rebellion.
    • He abandoned them to their unclean lusts to "dishonour their own bodies between themselves".
  6. Write (I John 1:7).
    • "But if we walk in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin".
