   • Joseph had two companions in prison: Pharaoh's chief butler who was restored to service and Pharaoh's chief baker who was hanged (Genesis 40:1-3,20-22).

     • Joseph's two dreams (Genesis 37:5-11) resulted in his being sold as a slave by his brethren (Genesis 37:17-19,26-28) and later being imprisoned by his master because of his deceitful wife (Psalms 105:17-18 cf. Genesis 39:17-20)
   • "Until the time that His Word came" (Psalms 105:19)
     • The two dreams of Pharaoh's servants (Genesis 40:9-13,16-19) were preparatory (Genesis 41:8-16) for the two dreams of Pharaoh himself (Genesis 41:25-32 cf. 41:17-24)
     • Thus, "His Word came" (Psalms 105:19), and resulted in Joseph being released from prison and being set over Pharaoh's kingdom (Psalms 105:20-22 cf. Genesis 41:14,38-45)
