A common VAIN wickedness (evil) among men is that although
God may bestow riches upon a man so that he lacks nothing, yet WITHOUT GOD the man is not able to enjoy his wealth
(6:1-2):
Nabal was WICKED ("SON OF BELIAL") and wealthy
but God returned the evil he intended for David upon his own head - he LOST his WEALTH and his LIFE as well as
his WIFE to David (I Samuel 25:2-3,14-19,23-28,35-39)
Though an EVIL MAN may have a LONG LIFE which results
in MANY CHILDREN and if in the end he is refused burial - he is to be MORE PITIED THAN a STILL-BORN CHILD and his
DARKNESS is GREATER THAN ONE WHO was born and HAS NEVER SEEN the sun (6:3-5):
All bear the NAME of the first man (ADAM) and are not
able to contend with Him (6:10)
Who has decreed "FOR DUST THOU ART, AND UNTO DUST SHALT THOU RETURN" (Genesis 3:19):
"PRECIOUS in the sight of the Lord is the DEATH of
His SAINTS" (Psalms 116:15)
As they PHYSICALLY bore the EARTHLY IMAGE of the FIRST
ADAM - so shall the SAINTS bear the HEAVENLY IMAGE of the SECOND ADAM (I Corinthians 15:45-49)
The VANITY of MULTIPLYING WORDS in ATTEMPTING TO DISPUTE
with Him Who knows all (6:11-12) is what Job LEARNED WHEN CONFRONTED by the Almighty (Job 38:1-4; Job 40:1-5; Job 42:1-6)
