One should PATIENTLY SOW so that IN DUE TIME one MAY REAP
EVEN THOUGH one may KNOW NOT THAT TIME (11:1):
"And let us NOT BE WEARY ... for IN DUE TIME we SHALL
REAP, IF we FAINT NOT" (Galatians 6:9)
The BENEFIT of one's labor should NOT be FOR ONLY one's
SELF, BUT ALSO FOR OTHERS (11:2):
Clouds do NOT STORE UP water FOR THEMSELVES, but rain
it down upon the dry earth (11:3)
One should be DILIGENT IN LABOR WHILE one is ABLE for
one may KNOW NOT WHEN TROUBLE WILL PREVENT such labor (11:2):
"BOAST NOT thyself OF TOMORROW; for thou KNOWEST
NOT WHAT A DAY MAY BRING FORTH" (Proverbs 27:1)
IF one is ALWAYS CONSIDERING the POSSIBILITY OF WIND then
one WILL NEVER SOW any seed and, likewise, IF one is ALWAYS CONSIDERING the POSSIBILITY OF RAIN then one WILL NEVER
REAP any harvest (11:4):
The Divine principle is that ONE REAPS WHAT ONE SOWS (Galatians 6:7-8)
It is AS VAIN TO UNDERSTAND WHY God does what He does
AS IT IS TO DISCERN HOW the body of a child develops in the mother's womb before it is born (11:5):
"... Shall the thing formed say to Him that formed
it, WHY HAST THOU MADE ME THUS? HATH NOT THE POTTER POWER OVER THE CLAY, of the same lump to make one vessel unto
honour, and another unto dishonour?" (Romans 9:20-21)
One should be DILIGENT AT ALL TIMES of the day - for one
KNOWS NOT WHICH TIME of the day will bring the MOST PROFIT (11:6):
"BOAST NOT thyself OF TOMORROW; for thou KNOWEST
NOT WHAT A DAY MAY BRING FORTH" (Proverbs 27:1)
The LIGHT (YOUTH) is SWEET yet DARKNESS (OLD AGE) will
follow and WILL REVEAL the VANITY OF YOUTH (11:7-8)
ALTHOUGH one may REJOICE in the self-indulgent pleasures
of youth for awhile, YET one should also know that God will bring one into JUDGMENT for these same things (11:9):
BY FAITH, Moses as a young man, CHOSE affliction with
God's people over the pleasures of sin for a season - ESTEEMING the REWARD OF the FORMER to be GREATER THAN the
RICHES of the LATTER (Hebrews 11:24-26)
It is BETTER TO TURN AWAY FROM YOUTHFUL LUSTS so as to
have LESS SORROW (IN OLD AGE) WHEN CALLED TO REMEMBRANCE OF THINGS PAST (11:10):
Paul exhorts believera to be VESSELS OF HONOR by having
fellowship with those that are PURE IN HEART and not to be VESSELS OF DISHONOR by having fellowship with those
that are DEFILED BY YOUTHFUL LUSTS (II Timothy 2:20-22)
