Paul's apostleship by Divine commandment of the Savior
(I Timothy 1:5 cf. I Timothy 1:1) has as its objective the communication of the dispensation of grace
(Ephesians 3:2), which through faith unfolds the infinite dimensions of the love of
God (Ephesians 3:17-19)
Throughout Paul's ministry, the Judaizers sought to subvert
Paul's teachings of grace by imposing the Law upon the Gentile believers (I Timothy 1:6-7 cf. Galatians 2:1-5; Galatians 5:1-6)
The Law served as a witness against the sinner (I Timothy 1:9)
and as such was immediately placed in a coffin (ark) when God gave it (Deuteronomy 31:26)
The Law was a ministry of death and condemnation (II Corinthians 3:7,9),
which is why God met Israel at the mercy seat (ark cover), i.e. above upon the ark (Exodus 25:21-22) where the blood of atonement was sprinkled (Leviticus 16:15-17)
