Christ "blotted
out" ("wiped away")
the ordinances of the Law, which stood "down under" between us (Jew and Gentile) by
"nailing it (the Law) to His Cross" and "taking it (up) out of the way" and ,thus, "spoiled"
("stripped away") the principalities and powers making a public spectacle of them by heading them up
in a triumphant procession (Colossians 2:14-15)
The Law was given to Israel thru the "disposition"
("instrumentality") of the angels (Acts 7:53)
The Law was "ordained" ("instituted")
by the angels (Galatians 3:19)
The Law was "spoken" ("preached")
by the angels (Hebrews 2:2)
God's "elect angels" (I Timothy 5:21)
"excel in strength" and "do His commandments" and are His "ministers that do His pleasure"
(Psalms 103:20-21)
The angelic ministry of the Law has NOW been superceded
by Christ's ministry of reconciliation in which the "OLD things" of the Law have been replaced by the
"NEW things", i.e. the "NEW creation" known as the "one NEW man" (II Corinthians 5:14-21
cf. Ephesians 2:11-18)
NOW it is the Grace of God which is the teacher (Titus 2:11-13)
and it is the angels who are the learners thru the example of the Church (Ephesians 3:8-10)
The Church of the "Dispensation of the Mystery"
is called by the Name of its Head, i.e. "the Christ" (Colossians 1:24-26 cf. I Corinthians 12:12.27) just as Eve was called by the name of her head, i.e. "Adam"
(Genesis 5:1-2)
The physical creation of Eve from Adam is called a "great
mystery concerning Christ and His Church" as it parallels the physical creation of each member of the Body
of Christ from Christ (Ephesians 5:30-32 cf. Genesis 2:21-24) at His coming for His Church (Philippians 3:20-21)
Paul warns the saints against being judged concerning the physical observances
of the Law, which were "shadows" ("shades") of Christ Who is "the body",
i.e. "the sound whole" (Colossians 2:16-17)
To revert back to the Law (the "shadows") is
to act as one who does NOT know the One Who has delivered us from the "bondage of the Law" (Galatians 4:8-11)
To revert back to the Law (the "shadows") is
to NOT "stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free" from the "yoke of bondage",
i.e. "the Law", and thus, to HAVE "fallen (dropped away experientially) from grace" (Galatians 5:1-4)
"wherein we stand (positionally)" having been "justified by faith" (Romans 5:1-2)
