The mind of Christ was that although existing in the form of God (the glory of the Divine Essence) - He considered it
NOT something to be regarded as robbery (plunder) to be grasped onto, but rather He laid it aside for the enrichment
of others (II Corinthians 8:9 cf. Matthew 8:20; Luke 9:58)
This mind (consideration) of others before self is His
example to His own (Ephesians 5:1-2)
He was made in the likeness of man (Romans 8:3)
for the "suffering of death" (Hebrews 2:9)
He was fashioned as a man to identify with man's infirmities
and was proven to be "without sin" (Hebrews 4:15) by NOT succumbing to the temptations of the Adversary (James 1:13 cf. Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13)
He humbled Himself being "meek and lowly" (Matthew 11:29)
- He sought NOT His own will (John 5:30) and He sought NOT His own glory (John 8:50)
He was obedient unto death by "laying down His life
for the sheep" (John 10:15-18)
Christ's act of obedience (drinking the wine on the tree)
is God's answer to Adam's act of disobedience (eating of the fruit of the tree) - Romans 5:19
