The Measure of the Gift of Christ for the Enabling of Fellowship (Ephesians 4:7-12)
The Gift of Christ is gifted individuals for the equipping
of the saints to do the work of the ministry, which is the building up of the fellowship (Ephesians 4:7,11-12)
The Measure of the Stature of the Fullness
of Christ which is the Goal of Fellowship (Ephesians 4:13-14)
The Stature of the Fullness of Christ is marked by the
unity of the faith among members of the fellowship in which is shared the mature knowledge of the Son of God (Ephesians 4:13-14 cf. Ephesians 3:18)
This mature knowledge centers around the Mystery (I Corinthians 2:6-9)
and concerns the Headship of Christ with His Body over all principalities and powers (Ephesians 1:9-10,22-23)
The Measure of Every Part which is the Outworking of Fellowship (Ephesians 4:15-16)
Every part means each member contributing its gift for
the edification of the other members and respecting the gift of each member, so that the Body (all members) will
be built up and glorify the Head of the Body (Ephesians 4:15-16 cf. I Corinthians 12:12-27)
The Measure of Faith for the Exercising of Fellowhip (Romans 12:3-8)
Faith is received by each member for the exercise of each
member's office towards the edification of the other members (Romans 12:3-5) and so there should not be any boasting of anything earned, but only
the thanksgiving of that which is received (I Corinthians 4:6-7 cf. I Corinthians 3:5-7)
